Bhutan international marathon commencement date

The marathon is scheduled on February 23, 2018 and the registration for the marathon will close on January 15,2018

To acclimatize we would advice all international participants to come to Bhutan at-least few days in advance. We will organize sightseeing tour for you and help you to acclimatize through training in the afternoons at various locations including the marathon route.

This will be an interesting event where you will witness the uniqueness of Bhutan and at the same time enjoy running through some remote area. With varying terrain Bhutan is a good place to organize different athletic events. Altitude might be a little problem if not trained for sometime but we have clean and fresh air.

Apart from the Bhutan International marathon we organize small running events at least twice a year. One such race is a run over an old trade route from Punakha to Thimphu.
