If you want to charter a helicopter in Bhutan whether its for mountain flights, Jhomolhari base camp visit or for any medical emergency then you will have to inform us.
We will book the helicopter for you. For booking the helicopter all payments must be done in advance either in cash or through credit card.
Cost of helicopter charter
The cost of chartering helicopter is US$6000/hour. The time starts from the time it takes off from its hanger in Paro. You can hire a helicopter any time of the year. Most flights are operated in the mornings.

You can fly early to Jhomolhari base camp have your breakfast out in the open and go sightseeing around the base. Our field staff will be present there so they will take you around the base from where you will have the best view of Mt. Jhomolhari.

When to book helicopter for a picnic breakfast or for mountain flight?
You can book the flight when ever the weather is bright and sunny. June, July and August is not favourable most of the time. Other months you can stay in Paro for two days and book the flight if the weather forecast for the next day is good.
Winter early morning will be too chilly but as the sun warms up you can book the flight before noon. Afternoon is quite windy during winter so the helicopter might not fly.
